I love this video- i can relate to the emotions u were going thru during this process. I too am currently going thru the process with my 4 year old. He was diagnosed this past oct as he attended preschool. He started speech therapy and ot this past jan. He was diagnosed with autism and speech delay (nonverbal). I am now currently looking into aba therapy for him. His aggression is still something we deal with on a daily basis but am starting to learn his cues. Please do an update on how jackson has progressed since his diagnosis!

My husband’s brother and SIL has two children that is delayed the first one is very obvious. I get upset with them, because they are in such denial. The second seems like she’ll eventually develop her speech. I can see that she struggles a bit when she talks. Even though she’s not saying 3+ word sentences, she is saying single words, . The first one, everyone has pointed out that maybe sign language will be good for him. I was the one who taught him the baby sign language for wanting to eat and he has used it this day. He’s 5 and a half and has only developed 2-3 words that I can understand but he’s still inconsistent with pronunciation. He used to cry a lot to the point where you just have to let him do his thing for however long because he couldn’t understand. Now, he’s a lot better with his behavior as long as he has toys or a phone to watch YT. Their doctor has suggested their son to see a specialist and the Dad got upset and she their doctor is a jerk. The school has even suggested to drop him from kindergarten to preschool, but his parents said that they want to keep him in kindergarten and if the school feels like the need to repeat him in kindergarten then they prefer that, but I haven’t gotten any updates since then. The mother is the most in denial of all. When she enrolled him in school she opted to not have assistance. She claims the school said she filled out the paperwork that way and she didn’t do it. I’m just like, girl, it’s okay if your child has special needs. That’s not something you have to be ashamed about. Your duty is to do your best for what is best for your child. He’s not going to be able to develop on his own.

Love it!! I really enjoyed this video. I'm not a nyaab, but that first portion is so applicable to all types of relationships. Setting boundaries and realistic expectations are things we all need to learn to do. I think about personal relationships with friends, family and also professional relationships.

I haven’t been able to save money. Lol... I really wish I could save; ever since I got married I had to take over rent. I just hope they help take care of my babies... but as of right now, My in laws don’t “expect” too much as long as I pay for rent. ☺️ Also we’ve had to rent a few hotels just to make love. Lolol
